Knife Throw is a timing arcade game. A rotating target spins at the center — press Space to throw knives onto the rim without hitting knives already placed.
Complete the required knives per level to advance. Hit an existing blade and the run ends.
The target is 80 units in radius on a 400 by 500 canvas, and each knife is 60 units long. The number you must place scales with the level: 8 + level knives, so level 1 asks for 9 and level 5 asks for 13, all around the same 80-unit rim.
Rotation is what changes. Later levels spin the target faster and can reverse it, so the gap you were aiming at may no longer be where you expected by the time the knife lands.
Controls
- Space — Throw knife
- Start — Begin (Space when not started)
- P — Pause
Tips & Tricks
- 1Watch rotation speed — it increases each level
- 2Throw when the gap faces you, not when a knife passes
- 3Steady rhythm beats rapid spam throws
- 4Anticipate the next slot a quarter turn ahead
- 5With 8 + level knives on the same rim, the later levels leave very little free arc — accuracy matters far more than speed
- 6Aim for the largest remaining gap rather than the nearest one; on crowded levels the near gap is often already closing
- 7Throwing has a fixed rhythm, so wait for the target rather than firing on reflex — a knife in flight cannot be recalled
Frequently Asked Questions
How many knives per level?
8 plus the level number, so level 1 needs 9 and level 5 needs 13. You must place them all to advance.
Does rotation change?
Yes. Speed ramps up as levels progress, and the direction can change, so re-read the spin each level.
What kind of game is this?
It is a browser timing game where you throw into rotating targets without hitting previous throws.
What ends a run?
Striking a knife that is already stuck in the target ends the run immediately.
How big is the target?
80 units in radius, with each knife 60 units long, on a 400 by 500 canvas.
Is there a time limit?
No countdown. The pressure comes from rotation speed and remaining space, not a clock.
