Racing Games6
Two drift racers with opposite control schemes — one steering wheel, one button.
About Racing Games
This is the smallest shelf on the site, and both games are about drifting rather than lap times. Drift Racing is the fuller of the two: you steer across lanes, avoid obstacles, and chain drifts through bends to multiply your score. Speed builds at 0.2 units per frame under throttle up to a cap of 8, so top speed takes about 40 frames — a little over half a second — while braking sheds 0.3 per frame.
Drift Master is the one-button version. The car drives forward automatically on a narrow winding platform: hold to turn one way, release to turn the other, with no brake at all. Sharp 90-degree corners are the test, coins on the inside line are the bonus, and dropping off an edge ends the run immediately. It is tuned for instant restarts.
Because there is no brake in Drift Master, the skill is anticipation — you start turning before the corner appears rather than reacting to it. Drift Racing rewards the opposite habit: stay centred until an obstacle appears, then commit to a lane and hold the drift through the bend instead of braking straight.
Both games score on survival plus style. Distance and clean drift chains build the multiplier in Drift Racing; coins and clean cornering do the same in Drift Master. Crashing ends the run in both, which keeps attempts short.
Controls are listed on each game page. Drift Racing mirrors keyboard controls with on-screen touch buttons on a phone, and Drift Master needs only a single press or tap anywhere, which makes it the more phone-friendly of the two.
If you want more from this shelf in the meantime, ZigZag and Neon Slope on the arcade shelf use similar lane-holding reflexes with a different scoring model.
Racing Games — Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there only two racing games?
The shelf is intentionally small — both entries are drift-scoring games rather than lap racers, and we would rather publish two working titles than a long list of near-duplicates.
Do the racing games work on mobile?
Yes. Drift Racing mirrors its keyboard controls with on-screen touch buttons, and Drift Master needs only a single tap or press, which makes it especially easy on a phone.
Is there a brake?
Drift Racing has one, and braking sheds speed faster than you accelerate. Drift Master has no brake at all — you control direction only, by holding or releasing.
How is the score calculated?
Both games combine survival distance with drift style. In Drift Racing, clean drift chains raise a score multiplier; in Drift Master, coins collected on the inside line add to it.
What ends a run?
Crashing in Drift Racing and dropping off the platform edge in Drift Master. Both are designed for instant restarts, so a failed run costs only seconds.
