Merge Fruit is a physics-based merging puzzle. Tap or click to drop fruits into the box. When two identical fruits touch, they merge into the next larger fruit in the chain — from cherry up to watermelon and beyond.
Keep the stack below the danger line at the top. If settled fruits cross that line, the run ends. Chain merges for higher scores and watch the preview fruit to plan your drops.
The chain runs through eleven fruits: cherry, strawberry, lemon, kiwi, blueberry, orange, peach, pineapple, melon, watermelon and pumpkin. Each step up roughly doubles the fruit's footprint — a cherry is 12 units in radius while a watermelon is 100 — so late-game space pressure is the real difficulty curve, not the physics.
A merge pays 10 points times the tier of the fruit it creates, so merging two watermelons into a pumpkin scores far more than the whole opening sequence of cherry merges combined. That is why protecting your largest fruit matters more than clearing small ones.
Controls
- Click / tap — Drop the current fruit at the horizontal position
- Move pointer — Aim left or right before dropping
- Pause — Pause physics and dropping
- Restart — Reset the box and score
Tips & Tricks
- 1Center heavy fruits and stack smaller ones on the sides
- 2Watch the preview fruit — plan two drops ahead
- 3Merges can cascade; wait for physics to settle before the next drop
- 4The danger line only checks fruits that have settled — don't panic mid-fall
- 5Higher-tier merges award much more score than tiny cherries
- 6Keep one column of the box reserved for whatever the preview shows, so you always have a legal drop
- 7Score scales with the tier you create, so setting up a single late merge beats farming six cherry merges
Frequently Asked Questions
How do fruits merge?
When two fruits of the same type collide and stop touching, they combine into the next size in the chain.
What is the danger line?
A red dashed line near the top. If settled fruits rise above it, the game ends.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Tap anywhere on the canvas to drop; the fruit falls at your touch position.
When does the run end?
The run ends when settled fruit remains above the danger line.
How many fruit tiers are there?
Eleven, from cherry through watermelon to pumpkin. Each tier is noticeably larger than the last, which is why the box fills up fast in the late game.
How is the score calculated?
A merge awards 10 points multiplied by the tier number of the fruit it produces, so bigger merges are worth exponentially more than early ones.
