Echo Tiles is a memory pattern game. Watch the colored buttons flash in sequence, then repeat the pattern by clicking the same order. Each successful round adds one more step.
One wrong press ends the game. How long a sequence can you memorize?
The board has four coloured pads — green, red, yellow and blue — and each one carries its own tone: C4 at 261.6 Hz, E4 at 329.6, G4 at 392, and C5 at 523.3. During playback each pad lights for 300 ms with a 200 ms gap between steps, so a sequence of ten takes about five seconds to play and you can use the melody, not just the colour order, as a second memory channel.
Every round appends exactly one new step to the existing sequence, so the pattern you already know never changes — only the tail grows.
Controls
- Click or tap a colored tile — Repeat the pattern during your turn
- Space or Start — Begin a new sequence
- P — Pause or resume
Tips & Tricks
- 1Say the colors aloud or visualize the sequence mentally
- 2Focus on the new button added each round — not the whole chain from scratch
- 3Wait for the full playback before tapping
- 4Rhythm helps; the pattern often feels like a beat
- 5Each pad has a distinct pitch, so you can hum the sequence — most people retain the melody longer than the colour list
- 6The sequence only ever grows by one step at the front of your memory, so rehearse the whole chain between rounds rather than just the new item
- 7Playback runs at 300 ms on and 200 ms off; once sequences pass ten steps, chunk them into groups of three or four
Frequently Asked Questions
Does speed increase?

Is high score saved?

Can two players compete?
Yes. Take turns on one device and compare best scores.
How many pads are there?
Four: green, red, yellow and blue, each with its own tone.
Can I use number keys to play?
No. Tiles are selected by click or tap; the only keyboard controls are Space to start and P to pause.
