How to Play
Number Link is a browser number-matching puzzle. Tap two tiles showing the same number to connect them with a clear path that turns at most twice. Clear every pair before the two-minute timer runs out.
Chain quick matches to build a combo and earn bonus points. Stuck? Use a Hint to reveal a connectable pair, or Shuffle to rearrange the remaining tiles. A glowing line traces your path before the pair vanishes.
The grid is 8 rows by 9 columns, which makes 36 numbered pairs, and you start with 120 seconds. Each pair pays 10 base points, and a combo adds 5 points per combo level on top — but the combo only survives 2 seconds between matches, so speed matters more than finding the perfect pair.

Tips & Tricks
- 1Work the edges first — corner numbers often block paths later
- 2Link matches within two seconds to grow your combo multiplier
- 3A path may turn at most twice; straight and L-shaped routes both count
- 4Don't hoard shuffles — reshuffle before the board gets stuck
- 5Clear pairs that open the center to free up more routes
- 6The route search runs even outside the grid border, so a pair on the left edge can often link by looping around the outside of the board
- 7With 36 pairs in 120 seconds you average about 3 seconds per pair, so any single pair you stare at for ten seconds has to be paid back by combos later

How many turns can a connecting path make?
Up to two turns (three segments). The path must be clear of other tiles.
What happens when time runs out?
The round ends. Tap Play Again for a fresh 2:00 board and a score reset.
Do combos stack?
Yes. Each link made within 2 seconds of the last raises the combo by one and adds 5 points per combo level, so a 4x combo on a pair pays 10 + 20.
Does it require an app?
No. It runs directly in the browser and supports touch and mouse controls.
How big is the board?
8 rows by 9 columns, which is 72 tiles and 36 pairs to clear against a 120 second clock.
Can paths run outside the grid?
Yes. The search allows one cell of margin around the board, so edge pairs are usually easier to link than interior ones.
