Card Sort deals a shuffled deck across several piles, and your goal is to file every card into the foundation slots in strict rank order. Tap the top card of a pile to lift it; it can only rest on one of the few parking slots or move straight onto the foundation that expects its rank. Because parking is scarce, a careless pickup can deadlock the whole board, and a deal with no legal move left ends the run. Each level deals more cards and more piles, so plan the pickup order before you tap and always keep one slot free for the card you will need next. Filing cards straight onto their foundations without parking builds a combo: every consecutive placement adds a score multiplier, so a clean run that never uses a parking slot earns three stars and a fat combo bonus, while parking a card resets the streak.
Controls
- Tap a pile to lift its top card
- Tap a parking slot or the foundation to drop it
Tips & Tricks
- 1Foundations accept cards in strict rank order
- 2Parking slots are limited, so never waste both
- 3Clear the piles that bury low ranks first
- 4Lift a card only when the foundation or a parking slot can take it — a card held with nowhere to go is a wasted pickup
- 5Level size climbs steadily, so use the early deals to build the habit of always keeping one slot free
Frequently Asked Questions
What ends the run?
Lifting a card with nowhere legal to put it, or reaching a deal where no pile can be touched without deadlock, loses the level.
Why can't I place a card on the foundation?
Foundations only accept the next rank in sequence. If the rank you hold is not the one the foundation expects, park it and keep working the piles.
How many parking slots are there?
Only a few, and they are the whole puzzle. Filling them all with cards you cannot place is what ends a run.
Do later levels get harder?
Yes — each level deals more cards across more piles, which leaves far less slack for a careless pickup.
Is there a timer?
No. Card Sort is untimed, so the only pressure is the shrinking number of legal moves.
