Stack Tower is a browser timing game. A moving block slides across the top — tap or press Space to drop it onto the tower. Misaligned sections fall away; the platform shrinks.
Stack as high as you can before missing completely and ending the run.
The opening block is 100 units wide and 20 tall on a 400 by 600 canvas. Every drop is judged against the block underneath: the overhanging part is sliced off and discarded, and what remains becomes the new, narrower platform. That is the entire difficulty curve — your margin shrinks by your own inaccuracy, one block at a time.
Score is simply height in blocks, and a milestone sound marks every tenth one.
Controls
- Space / Tap — Drop the moving block
- Start — Begin stacking
- P — Pause
- Restart — New tower
Tips & Tricks
- 1Drop near the center of overlap for maximum width
- 2Watch speed changes — later blocks move faster
- 3Small overhangs compound — accuracy matters more as height grows
- 4Rhythm beats panic; wait for steady alignment
- 5Because the overhang is cut rather than absorbed, every imperfect drop permanently reduces your platform — there is no recovering width
- 6Once the platform is under about 30 units wide, take the safe partial overlap rather than chasing a perfect one
- 7The block sweeps at a constant rate, so count the pass rather than reacting to it — timing the same point each sweep is more reliable than watching
Frequently Asked Questions
What ends the game?
If the dropped block misses the tower completely, the run ends.
Does the block speed up?
Movement gets faster as your stack grows, so later drops are harder to time even though the block is narrower.
What kind of game is this?
It is a browser timing game where accurate drops build a taller tower.
What happens to the overhanging part?
It is cut away and falls off. The remaining overlap becomes the platform for the next block.
How big is the starting block?
100 units wide and 20 tall, on a 400 by 600 play area.
How is the score counted?
One point per block stacked, with an audio cue every ten blocks.
